Photography has been Alexis’s passion since the age of 9, at which time her father presented her with her first camera. The excitement and sheer joy Alexis experienced upon seeing the very first images that she had created continues to this day.

Alexis continued to create images throughout her adolescent and teen years. After a detour to art school in her early 20’s, she found a photographer whose work she admired and whom she respected, and she apprenticed with him.

Because of the support of this photographer (Orville Ottenbreit, MPA), Alexis went on to live her dream. Alexis carries on this legacy by mentoring aspiring photographers of all ages.
